Hi there all, you may have seen my post about what mold and bullet to choose for the 9mm, well I chose for a starter an RCBS 9mm-124-CN and just received it yesterday. Gave it its deburring routine, cleaned it up and cast ten pounds of bullets. No drama at 740 degrees, good fill out and they dropped from the mold like little greased piggy's. Put ten randomly picked ones in the refrigerator for a nice cool down then a return to room temp and then checked for weight and diameter. They threw with straight COWW alloy at 130 grains and .359 diameter, perfect! I must be getting better at this sort of thing (or lucky!) as for weight seven of them was at 130.1 grains and the other three was only a few tenths off. As they are big enough for .358 sizeing I'm gonna give them a try in the .38 special as well just fer grins. Anyhoo after some real disappointments with new L word molds the RCBS's with straight COWW alloy have been a real treat. Thanks for looking and happy casting y'all.

Nothing like a good and easy mould to cast with. Now add about 2% tin for real purdy boolits.

I have at least 25 RCBS molds and every single one of them are a joy to cast with. Out of all of them there was one that wasn't so good and RCBS replaced it no questions asked.

Hi,
I used that mold for over a decade for ALL my 9MM reloading! Worked for everything!

That is the most accurate bullet in my Rossi 24" octagon 92. Very accurate out to 200 yds and the bullet I use in my K-38 for all silhouette (100 yd Hunters Pistol)targets except the rams. I have to "Beagle mine to get .358 but that doesn't seem to hurt a thing.
