I liked the hard rubber grips that came on my Commander 1991 A-1 or whatever # designation it has.

I got these in a bag of stuff from somebody on this forum when buying parts for my 1917 Eddystone. These grips are thick! They feel good in my hand. I like wood too. No name on the grip panels at all.

Pictures show every defect and piece of dirt there is! I shoot them and carry them!

I got this thing a few years back. It just amazes me how accurate it is with both the H&G#68 and the Lyman 452423(My heavy).

This is a SAI that is a shooter too. It came with this color scheme. I am not sure if I like the full size or Commander size best.

Darn I dont know how extra pic got in there and I cannot make it go away.:veryconfu

MY 1970s combat commander came with checkered wood grips with the rampant colt medallions on either side of the grip panels.
