I have a chance to buy a .44 Magnum Ruger Black Hawk NIB with a 10 1/2" barrell for $350.00. I have never seen one with that long of a barrell before. Is this length common and is the price right? THANKS for any input.

what caliber? No matter, $ 350.00 is a decent buy. There were plenty of 10"ers built. Go for it.

Around here 350 is decent. Yesterday I picked up a .45 LC 5 1/2" SS w/ the pearlite ruger emblem grips that was all but new for 400 even. Not a deal I would brag about but not bad.

350 is a good price on one in good condition. They are popular for the revolver class in IHMSA silhouettes for shooting steel targets out to 200 meters, so that ought to tell you something about their quality. The top of the heap in silhouettes is the Freedom Arms revolvers (for about 4 times the money), followed by Dan Wesson and the 10 1/2" Blackhawks. The Blackhawk makes a dandy deer hunting gun as well.

$350 seems real fair considering it's NIB. I say go for it.
