Where can I find.......

.....data for an old shooting record? Some years back, some guy put 5 consecutive rounds in a 1.25" group at 1000 yds.. I do remember being told it was a custom built(ya' think?) .308 and it took the guy something like 2 years to work up the load and wait for the right morning with no moving air to accomplish this. That's about all I can remember.

Anybody know how I can find the facts on this?

Take a look on the BenchrestCentral.com 1000 yd forum. Might be something there but I think the current NBRSA record is a little bigger than that.

Here's a website about 6BRs. Scroll down to October 11 posting about matches. I don't think it's what you're looking for but it is very interesting and perhaps you can inquire of them about the data you seek.
