Hey as some of you know because of my constent questions I've been casting 250 grain lee REALs for my t/c encore. Just as things were moving forward a new what the he$&#@ popped up. The lead is as close to pure as I can use and still get good fill, any how went for another range session and the boolits fell down the pipe. The are now Mic'ing around 494-499. They were 512-513 right where I wanted them last week. Didn't shoot any cause they just fell down the pipe. Any thoughts?

If they were right before, and not now, it's something you did or changed from before. Try to figure out what.
Temperature? Different technique?

Maybe incomplete fillout of the bands? Pure can do that sometimes. Add some tin and see if that fixes it.

that's @20 thousandths of an inch.
you can't get that going from linotype to pure.
something else is wrong.

I'm not sure what the problem is but in my MLs those REAL bullets were not accurate even with a good fit, the Lyman Plains bullet is/was very accurate, in both .50 and .54
