What type of bullet puller should I buy to pull the bullets from my 45 cases loaded with a
Hensley Gibbs #68 bullet?????????

I have had better luck with the Inertia Pullers for cast boolits and the collet type for j-words.

Inertia Pullers is about the only thing that will work for the ACP case,
there's just not enough boolit/bullet exposed for a collet puller to work.

I use my Lee cartridge holder in my single stage press, cut a piece of PVC pipe long enough to let the boolit stick out of the top of the PVC at about 1/2 stroke. Grab the boolit with wire strippers and reverse stroke. I remelt because the boolit is damaged beyond use but the setup costs nothing.

OR if they are loaded too hot for your 1911 use a Ruger Black Hawk convertible!!!

To make the job of pulling them with an inertia (hollow hammer) puller easier. Remove the decaping pin from your size die, then run the lubed round into the size die
this will make the bullet much easier to pull. I have only used this method with lead bullets. The bullets are now under sized but will fit your remelt can.

I have used an RCBS collet type bullet puller to pull hundreds of H&G 68 bullets with very little trouble.

No, remelt. The other components and peace of mind warrant it.

By golly! That is using the old bean.

Inserting sharp shoulders in an inertia puller is the hardest part. I had better luck in the RCBS collet puller with a 30 cal collet.

+1 on the 'resize with decapping pin removed' idea. The boolit is resized with the brass but the brass springs back better. Boolits are loose, and the inertia puller doesn't take as much effort. Pull them, re cast them, shoot away.

9mm collet. Grab the cone and pull the bullet. .40 cal works just as well.

I like the kinetic pullers myself for cast. About 3 wacks on a scrap wood does the trick (I did it in 1 wack a few days ago! Lol)

A big piece of firewood 18-24" in dia cut with ends parallel about 25-30" long on edge in front of a chair gives a great base for the inertia pullers then a little practice. Try leaving your wrist limp so it really bounces I have pulled bulles in one blow with this set up. Any thing that gives under the blow removes force from pulling. getting the "bounce on the puller from a solid surface really increases the pulling efficency.
