I think Montana Bullet Co. sold out to Cheycast, several years ago.
Montana bullet works casts a pretty good bullet.

I have used Montana Bullet Works bullets a few time in the past. They have been ok generally. About a year ago I ordered a few from a particular mold design- before buying the mold. The bullets I received were not well done with gas checks seated crooked (very obvious to the naked eye). I returned them and talked to the owner. He said he didn't see anything wrong with them and returned my $. So, ????

I have shot many, many hundreds of their jacketed .40 and .45 bullets and I am satisfied with them. I bought 5000 each about 6 years ago, so haven't had any dealings with them since.

Are you guys confusing the two companies? As far as I know, Montana Gold only makes jacketed bullets. I thought Montana Bullets was cast only.

They only make cast.

There is an outfit called Montana Gold bullets located in Kalispell that makes jacketed bullets.
There was a retired army officer started up a Montana bullet company that only made cast bullets, but the biggest market he found was the CAS shooters around Cheyenne and Ft. Collins. A couple of guys offered to buy him out and that's how Cheycast came to be.

Almost forgot to mention Montana precision

Op needs to be just a wee bit more detailed about the outfit he's asking about.
