Took 2 turkey fryers and had a VERY good friend do some welding for me, he welded angle iorn to the top and bottom to fix them together, THEN made the stainless steel pot, measures 20 x 10 x 5, thickness of an 8th inch, heavy, should be able now to smelt down at least 150lbs at a time, am looking at installing a bottom pour spout on one end, just have to figure that out yet, when temp gets down to 80 or below it will get fired up to melt down my 25lb w/w pigs.7560875609

Looks like a fun project..
Your pot when filled to the brim, it will hold 4.33 gallons of molten lead which is equal to 411 pounds. I ran a pretest and overloaded my frame and burner with 600 pounds just to make sure it will handle the weight of my 400 pound bottom pour pot. Now all you need is a "Shad Style Bottom Pour Valve" I have the details if you are interested.
