A couple of questions,on this?????
How does it come out-right to left or left to right,if you are holding the gun to your shoulder???{This is the factory installed sight comming off.}
Next,how do you hold the barrel,to do this? A vice and wood blocks?
How do you make sure or place the new one,on center of the bore????

I put mine in a vise with leather on the jaws of the vise. Put a piece of tape on the barrel and mark where the front sight is. Tap out the sight with a brass pin. Use the brass pin to tap the new one into place. You may have to drift it back and forth to get it to line up. A sight pusher is best, but sometimes hard to come by.

One thing to be aware of, the dovetail is metric.
The Lyman globe sight is the 17EU.
L to R is how I go. Use a brass punch, and hold in vise with wood blocks.

I use sheet lead over the vise jaws. piece of brass welding rod for drift pin. Center on barrel by feel. Adjust as necessary. When "right" clean with 90% isopropyl and use some thread lock to hold in place. Once had a front sight get loose and it cost me 2 deer before I figured out what was going on, "loose sight".
