Anyone ever bought one of the reproduction side scope mounts from Accumounts? I see them on slEezBay. They come with the tap and die and screws. I know the stock has to be notched for them. Just curious if anyone has done one and how much trouble they are to install.
I have a really nice Tula hex 91/30 that was gifted to me and these failing eyes need all the help they can get. Before I would consider a bubba rig I'd like to look into making a sniper clone.

I'm also on the fence about scopes. To keep it original looking as possible would be nice but I see they have a reproduction side mount with 1" rings. I happen to have a short little 4x scope made in Belarus. I has the same reticle as a PSOP style scope only it's a compact little outfit and would look decent.

Thanks as always guys.

I just finished using a the mounting block from accumounts.com Worked out really well. I drilled pilot holes through my receiver, I have an exsniper and I was drilling through the old plugged and welded holes. If you drill pilot holes with a quality bit and use the supplied bit to finish it off you should be OK. The supplied tap needs a handle. It worked OK and I didn't have any problems. I purchased an authentic WWII scope and mount off another site and it is pretty solid.

I have the Accumount brand PE mount for my nugget, even with a well equipped shop at my disposal I almost screwed it up. If I do another one, I'll pay the fifty bucks to have a competent 'smith do it.
