What type of gun are you going to be shooting them in? I love LSWC's but my XD's don't. (my 1911's do)

FWIW.

Have a good one,
Dave

I agree with clint.

I started with the Lyman 230 RN as my very first cast-bullet design, waaaaay back in 1966. Since then I've gone through MANY varied .45 ACP designs, mostly semi-wadcutters of one sort or another, but have now returned to the 452374, Lyman's 230 RN in 4-cavity form.

This is now my one-and-only .45 ACP mould, and I am perfectly happy with it. It easily produces 800-1000 bullets per hour, and that's ample for my needs. The bullet shoots accurately, functions well in any gun in which I've ever used it, and duplicates the 230 Hydra-Shok load which I carry in my CC guns, which makes for realistic practice.

4-cavity 452374 moulds show up with some frequency on EvilBay, and I've bought several assorted 4-cavs from that listing.

My Government Model likes the Lee TL452-230TC, and I like the 6-hole Lee mould they come out of.

I'll be using them in a springfeild mc operator ,kimber custom classic ,colt and lw operator. i use 200 gr swc from a company called valiant no problems with the 200 gr swc in any of my 1911's i use a dillion rl550 and bullseye powder ,got into idpa a few years ago ,that's when i started reloading .I use it as calming relaxing hobby I shoot alot at work and on my own time and dime I carry a glock on duty but a lw operator off :Fire:

I have quite a few .45acp molds. My Lyman 4 hole 452374 (230RN) gets most the use. Second is the Lee 6 hole 200 SWC. It used to be the opposite, but I shoot IDPA, ISPC, etc and the SWC does well in the autos, but I am shooting the revlover mostly now, a S&W 625. The round nose finds the holes easier on the revolver reloads with the moon clips.
I have a Lyman that casts a fine 200 SWC, I dont remember the number, but it is a 2 holer. I prefer the steel molds, but the production numbers of the Lee 6 holers is hard to argue with.

I like my Lyman 230 RN as an all around feed in everything great shooting boolit. but my favorite is my H&G 200 gr. SWC for my master caster. Great IPSC boolit and it feeds in almost all of my .45's (Except the picky AMT)
