Found a link here to them. Played around with the online designer. Fun as hell. Might save up some money and get a 215gr Sensible Keith boolit for the 10mm. I can see me getting a 150gr 7mm boolit too for my future 7mm-08.

For those that have them, how do you like them? Worth it?

I have two molds from MM and reccomend them. The online program helps you get the bullet you want. The molds are high quality and cast well.

I have several of Dan's moulds, and they are all exactly what I ordered. I am very pleased with his work.

Another high five to Dan's work. I have four of his moulds, all in aluminum, all are VERY fine tools and easily worth the money. His 270 grain 9.3mm boolit will be my deer rig this year.

Thanks guys. I'll have to save up for one. Paid the mortgage so I'm broke for two weeks. I'll definately get that 215gr Sensible Keith for my 10mm.

Al -- please tell me more about your 9.3 MM bullet. I just mailed an order in to Dan for a 285 grain bullet for my 9.3x57. .368+" diameter, 73% meplat, .525" nose, long crimp groove, 2 grease grooves and a straight GC shank. Based on a similar bullet that I had him make for my .338 T/C wildcat, I expect this one to hit like the hammer of Thor.

Glen--

I used the design that Dan had listed as his "generic" 9.3mm boolit, designed by "Eirik" over on Accuratereloading.com. The only tweaks I gave it was to enable a drive band area total length of .600", which kissed the rifling leade and did not extend into the powder space at all--the gas check sits even with the neck/shoulder junction. My slugs drop at .3685" in 92/6/2, about .368" in WW. I spec'd the mold for .368" in WW, and Dan got it RIGHT ON THE DOT. The slugs weigh 269 grains in WW, just over 268 grains in 92/6/2.

I have shot MANY 3-shot groups between 1" and 1.25" at 100 yards. 5-shotters seldom exceed 1.25". To say I am happy with this mold and its boolits' performance understates the case considerably.

I am another fellow with two Mountain Molds and each of them are dead bang on to my specs and are of very good quality.

I am glad Dan is back cutting molds again. I have an 8mm project in the back of my mind. something of a cross between the Karabiner and the Lee. I want something over 200 grains, with a good meplat, but no so big as to require a worn throat like the Karabiner. A 210-220 grain thumper. My Persian 98/29 has a pristine barrel and throat.

I am not yet final about the specs, but I want the base of the bullet to be contained in the neck of the case.

I thought I had 4 or 5 of Dan's molds and I stopped looking at 14. There is a nuther cabinet for molds too.

Sold one, gave one away to a guy that just HAD to have it, bought one from someone else, and had one stolen.

Just ordered 3 more. One 357, one 45 for an AR, and one 44 caliber design.

They make great Christmas gifts for the wife. She won't use them. But she won't use anything else I buy her. (Hey, ain't no power cord attached or two sizes too small either)

So at least I can put them to good use later on.

YAAAY! I was finally able to order a C358-180RF (ish) single cavity from Dan!

I wanted to shorten the nose .050 so I could actually crimp in the groove. I think I was able to use his tool to approximate it well enough.

Waiting begins again...

I expect he will get a flood of orders and have to suspend new ones again. I put in for one much like Ranch Dogs 165 grain .30 cal. I'm looking forward to my first Mountain Mold.
