Thanks to RustReel for the idea!

I have a friend coming over on the weekend, we are keen to trial the little Lee TL-314-90-SWC in the mosin, as per this thread:

I do not have a die set for this. . he has some boxer brass.

I have casting gear and the above mold, the Lee 309-150-FP and 309-170-FP (used for my win 1894). I have Lee dies for .243, 30-30 and then Lee Loaders for .303, 30-30, .308.
I have a hornady .30 universal neck sizing die.

My thoughts for red neck reloading the 7.62x54r is to slug the barrel and maybe chamber cast as I believe bore can vary from .310 to .314. Lyman 3rd Ed suggests restrictions in chamber size, bullets sized to .310.

Then trial the .30 universal neck size die or the .303 to size? bell mouth then seat with the .303 Lee Loader?
The .303 Lee Loader decapper/expander is .311

Will the dished case base cause problems with priming?

Just after some 25m plinking fun, not minimum run-out target ammunition!

If you have .32 acp or long/H&R dies, necksize with those.
