Model 12 12Ga. question

Trying to find out approx. age of my Model 12.... a lot of sites are just advertising.....
Serial is 1070xxx also if anyone has an opinion on val. for ins. or sale....
I appreciate any help...... gun is in good cond. wood has a ding or two,... mechanically its a sewing machine.

Looking at a value of between $300 - $600 or what someone is willing to pay. A good index would be to go to gunbroker.com or other gun auction site and look at completed auctions for a gauge of worth.

The Madis book says 1947.
