Does anyone make a GC maker that will clone Hornady GC's using the same size brass/copper material as Hornady?

Is the brass/copper material available at reasonable prices to make this worthwhile ?

Hi
The cost of copper is too high to make gas checks for most of us.Aluminum has proved to be better cost wise. Nobody has yet figured out how to make the thickened top edge of the crimp on copper checks.

I'm not sure that the crimp is needed. I find that the aluminum checks are or were on at the time they hit my 100 and 200 yard gongs. I find the remnants on the ground under each gong. They were made with the Freecheks III tool and are for 22 cal. Made with litho plate and sized on a Star.
