well ive bragged on these before and now finally got a camera for pic's of stuff as it comes up so here is my sordid storie again.

I start out with .535 inch balls for my 54 MLer. then with a couple dies from Buckshot, I size em down to .480 first ... then .470 ... then .460 ... and finally to the .452 inch. then into a baggie for a roll in Lee's tumble lube and allow to dry. after they dry then I load em over 30 grains GOEX cartridge powder in rem 45 colt cases... very very fun and way accurate when applying Crisco over the front before firing them. cleans up well and just all round fun loads.

sounds like a bit of work but they are very easy to do and now that ive got pure lead and the mold to cast balls... I will turn out my own 54's to size down.

these work very well in 45-70's as well stopping at the .460 inch for a very fun and lite load.

so there ya have it on my NEW favorite boolits in my 45's for a very fun loading ... also hate to say it but ... they do well with small amounts of smokeless... [smilie=1:
