a friend is getting back into shooting, and we were wondering if there is a reason not to shoot cast in a German made Sig. ie: do they use std rifling.? I wn't see the gun for a week or so,so thought I'd ask here.
thanks !

I think it's the "S" in Sig that makes them unable to shoot lead.:kidding:

Some polygonal rifling pistols will shoot lead boolits. Anyway, my sig .45 acp has standard rifling and likes lead just fine.

Not sure about the gun you are talking about but a P238 shoots cast boolits fine and does have regulare rifling in the barrel.

Cast boolits with said P238 from 7~10 yards, my wife did pretty good with those first work up loads.

Yep, I've shot lead out of quite a few sigs including a couple of sig p238s. They all have been accurate and reliable with cast. Now if my p938 would just feed those rnfp with the big metplat I'd be happy.
