I am rebuilding my old SAECO pot. I have repaired the element and am getting a new temp controller. I have also fabricated a new shield around the element.
The question is: Can I use insulation from a water heater to insulate the pot or does it have to be something special? It has taken much work to get it this far and just want to get it right the first time. I am almost ready to close it up but am in no hurry, just want it right.
