Does anyone shoot lead in their M&P 9 and has anyone had a failure to fire as the striker sounds sorta weak ???

Thanks,
Gene

Just getting started with mine. I have only fired about 25 test rounds from my front porch. Have not had a chance to test accuracy. I am seating at 1.06 oal. I had to tighten crimp for consistent clambering. Have not slugged barrel yet. Sizing at .358 with CR lube and 4.2 grains of unique, will be working with it more this week

Thanks Mike. I have a 5906 and it's favorite load is 5.6 / 540 pushing a Lee 120TC (sized .358 w/LLA @ 1.100), but the reason for the thread is I was at my favorite hobbyshop this morning and the M&P9 w/safety felt mighty good and it seems that Smith has improved their trigger from the last time I checked one. I was just curious about the FT Fire as it doesn't sound as loud as the Glocks !!!

Mine has fired every time, but I have not used it enough to really give you a good answer. I think they are good reliable guns. Before I bought mine, I did quite a bit of research on the net and most everyone seemed to like them

Put in the Apex trigger kit and that gun is as good as or better than anything out there. If I get a semi-auto, it would be a 9mm M&P with Apex kit.

The striker fire is nothing to worry about. My son owns 3 m&p pro 9mm guns and they shoot great. I load the Lee 120tc for the 9mm and i'm on the 9th carton of primers for him without any problem. The only problem I'm having is keeping boolits cast, lubed and ready to load.
