Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone has any load info on the 6.5-06. Alot of stuff out there on the 6.5 x 55 but nothing on the 6.5-06 to speak of. Alot of extrapolation it looks like. I started out with 16.0 gr. SR4759 and had pretty good results and am now going up a bit higher in powder charge. I am using the Lyman/Ideal 140 grain Loverin style boolit. I also have another lyman mould that casts a bore rider that doesn't fit the lands on the bore riding part. Anyhow, I will be using that 140 grain Loverin Style Lyman and need some info if anyone has any. Any help would be el mucho appreciattomundo.

I'm sure someone here has worked with it, but you could extrapolate from 280 Remington. Quite a bit of data for it in castpics, including some for 140gr bullets.

Case capacity is almost identical to the 6.5 Rem Mag, think the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook has some loads for it. The longer neck of the 6.5/06 is a plus.

This is the route to go, not 270 or 280. The 6.5 Rem Mag is close to the same case capacity, but not the same, so don't use the data for max loads, but should be ok for starting loads.
