Hello Andrew, if you were to order the same stuff from Circle Fly you'd get almost double the quantity and for less with a smile.

No I do not own Circle Fly co., but sure would love to see you cook your own home cooked loads!

Frankly Andrew, all you need buy is a hollow punch set from Harbor Freight. I cut my own using the 7/16" punch for loading the 444's and 44 mags for use in my .410's. Regards, Woody

woody,

I use at least 3 wads cut from the cardboard tray that Poppa Murphy's pizza comes on. I've used most anything from cardboard milk cartons to cereal boxes. They're pretty thin but easy to cut. I've also used flat rate boxes from the usps, used of course. Wads cut from milk jugs seem to work well also but I try to have some sort of cardboard wad directly between them and the powder. Plastic milk jug wads also work well for over shot wads which I seal with fingernail polish. Thin wads are easier to cut well than thicker material and cut fast when the wad material is placed on the end grain of a piece of wood. Regards, Woody

Good morning Andrew, since you are starting to load, don't take no short cuts or cut corner's with components until you become efficient loader.

Once you have figured it all out and getting as good as factory loads then start looking for cheaper ways of doing it!

Your weakest component is your strongest link of your load, as you know nitro cards are made with multi layers glued together and this is how it gets its strength!

Buy from Circle Fly and develop your load and let us all in as to how well it worked for a lot of shooter's looking your way for help from you.

Have fun while you are at it, enjoy your creativity in putting it all together and remember to push it all down with wad pressure of 25 to 30 lbs and if you do not have a loader then use wooden dowel and a bathroom scale for wad pressure!

Hoping it helps my fellow Musketeer Slug Shooter!!

Not to start a flame war, but if you buy circle fly wads for .410 they will be too small for the 444 cases. How do I know? I load plastic, paper, 444's and 44 mags for my .410's and have circle fly wads. They do not seal well in the brass cases. Mebe they have larger wads I dunno. I just cut my own. I'm goin' to the woods now. Regards, Woody

Hello Woody, you are by no means starting a flame war, we are a close knit family here and can and do from time to time disagree, nothing wrong with that, besides I'll be lying if I say I have a .410 gun for I don't.
Since you have it and load for it, you know it far better than me, I was only trying to help out in my way.

all of my reading directs me to use .430 over powder cards for best effect.
circle fly dose have these, later I have to pint out the form and fill it out and mail them.
kind of a pain in the ***, but I figure I can save about $5 for my trouble

I am planning on buying 1k of them, and then making my own buffer/filler wads and over shot cards.

I did order the harbor freight wad cutter tools

This is why I get the 11 ga. wads for my brass 12 ga. shells.

.450 is what you need.

well, I am ordering 1000 .430 nitro cards, and 1000 .450 nitro cards.

I am expecting my harbor freight wad cutting tools to come in soon, then I can start working on filler/spacer wads, and over shot discs.

My calculator tells me that 7/16" = .4375". I haven't actually measured any of my cut wads. Andrew, your first post says you'll be loading mostly 444's. I believe if you're going to load any plastic or paper cases, I think your .430's will be too big. I use standard circle fly 410 wads and/or plastic shotcups when loading plastic or paper. I also often use a shotcup on top of the larger nitro wads in the 444's. Prob'ly if you've searched here you've found that others do also. Regards, Woody

after I get the wads in, I will probably taper off the use of plastic hulls.
I do have plastic wads for the use of plastic hulls,

but I will probably buy another bag or two of .444 marlin brass to use with my new circle fly wads.

my only complaint with the use of .444 marlin brass is that they require large rifle primers, as I have about 10k shotgun primers, but maybe only 800 large rifle primers.
