A picture is worth a thousand words,
So I'll let the pictures speak for them selfs.
My friend gave this to me along with some other casting equipment.
Later I will find out how it casts.

It is the first pot I ever owned.
It is an excellent piece of equipment.

That is my main pot.
Technically not mine, but borrowed from a friend that doesn't cast...
Works well, I made a mold rest using PRESIDENTIAL SOLUTIONS...LOL
Mine doesn't have the knob, just the little metal post with teeth... That thing gets wicked HOT!!![smilie=b:

Doesn't look quite right though, without a genuine Asbestos power cord.[smilie=l:

Same here. The thermostat finally gave up, and I receintlyadded a PID. Still my favorite.

Make sure you clean it out good so the heat will be transferred to the lead better, the crud will act like an insulator.

Same model I have for bullets and fishing weights. It did great until recently so now it needs troubleshooting and repair, well worth the effort.

Could you pass along the pid info?? I think the thermostat is gone on mine too.

A great grab. After a good cleaning, it should last for years. They were expensive in the day.

I tested it today
There was some lead left in it,
So I plugged it in, and it melted and poured just fine.
Only did about 3 lbs, so it will require more in depth testing in the near future,
But I do have high hopes.
And a huge plus, zero drips, none, nada, zilch, my lee isn't bad, but it still has some.
