Im wondering about 00 buck loading i have remington sts 2 3/4 hulls, cci 209 primers, claybuster WT12-WAA12, and 700x powder is there a load out there for this or do i need to change some things to make this work ? seems buckshot data is harder to find than standard shot. also this dosent need to be a magnum or high pressure load.

17.5-18.0 grs will give you 1175-1200 fps.
you may need to use a 20 ga felt under 9 pellets and a 20ga card on top of 8 pellets.
to get your crimp correct.
if you have a slower powder such as unique, herco or 800-x i'd suggest trying 24-24.5 grs for 1275-1300 fps.
the felt and card will apply to them also.

make sure you get the wad firmly pressed down on the powder before adding the shot.

I have been using 800-x recently with the win wad and the rxp wad they both need a card on top for an nice even crimp, it doesn't affect the pattern out to 40 yds.

I tried some win 571 powder and it didn't give enough column height [or powder compression] unless I used a sam-1 steel shot wad and a card.

the felt goes on bottom.
if you can get 3 rows of three pellets you'll want the felt for column height adjustment.

if you have to stack in 8 pellets [in pairs] you'll use the card on top to make the crimp nice and even.

it just depends on the shots actual diameter, and the shot cups thickness.
what you see on the bench, may not be what you see in the hull so put a wad in a case before you try adding shot.
you may not need either the felt or the card, they are just height adjusters so you can apply a proper crimp.
