Well upon posting my request for a good cast boolit for my B92 in 44mag I find that Buster lives less than a mile away from me. He offered up some 265gr Ranch Dog cast boolits and even sized them up for me in .431 and .432. Bad news my gun shot them like double ought buck. I would take my 240 XTP, AA#9 powder and WLp and shoot sub 2" groups at 100 yds. I had enough cast from Buster to try different powder charges and nothing seem to help.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

If it shoots jacketed well, the first things I would look at are bore condition and cleanliness, and bullet fit to bore and throat. Have you slugged it? Powder selection and charge are much less important as long as you are pushing it fast enough to stabilize, but not so hard as to exceed the strength of the alloy.

I'm just guessing but you prob'ly didn't have all the brass/copper fouling removed from the bore befor you tried the cast. Right??
