Peel, slice and core a fresh ripe pineapple, lay slices on a hot grill and sprinkle with some sea salt, makes a nice contrast, turn in about 10mins and brush on some Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce, cook another 10-15mins, serve warm!

I usually like to do this in a smoker but wanted dinner quick today so we put it on the gas grill with a couple of ribeyes (which were just laid on the grill when this pic was taken..)

Looks awesome, have used a bit of soft cheese and honey after turning it, plate with powdered sugar.

Excellent idea! I'll be trying this sometime this week. I have a raspberry chipotle BBQ sauce I've been wanting to try. I may baste a couple pineapple slices to see if it's a good combo.

Whoa that sounds GOOD! Don't forget the sea salt, kinda coarse, it's a key element..

Just as an idea to try I slice pineapple and Vidalia onions into about 1/2" slices and throw them in a gallon ziploc baggie and put in about 1/2 of a bottle of Kraft Zesty Italian Dressing and let them marinate overnite and cook em on the grill the next day and they are awesome.

Raspberry Chipotle BBQ Sauce from Sweet baby Rays, baste the pineapple, sprinkle with sea salt, and put on the grill. I am a true believer now.

Hi Trey, whre did you get that grilling pan your pineapple slices are in? I can see a lot of uses for that on a grill !

That's the "grill skillet" from Miles Kimball. I've used it for all kinds of vegetables on the grill.

Does it work great, any thing about it that you don't like?

I wish the non stick was really non stick, but a good dose of Pam or similar and it's fine.

I use pans similar to that to do shrimp on grill rather than skewers. Saves tons of timr
