My first casting session .401 S & W made from a 1 linotype : 4 lead parts alloy. Not bad for 10 bucks of lead and two hours!

Hmmm,I'm thinkin' most of the two hours was spent standing the bullets up for the photo. :kidding:

Actually you are about right, I slowed down at the end when I was trying to stand these up between casts! I just need to get another mold so I can increase my productivity.

Mold is a Lyman #401638FV good eyes echo

Special thanks to Starreloader who took the time to meet with me and answer my questions! Great community here!

All in all a great day especially since this is my first Fathers Day as a father! My daughter Katelynn is 3 months old now. Great day!

Very nice. You're hooked now if you're already talking about another mold to increase production!
Which 4 banger mold is that for 40 caliber?

Using the Lee liquid alox, and sizing to .401. Do you really have to let the Lee liquid Alox dry overnight before you can size them?

Very nice work!

I don't tumble lube, but I am pretty sure that's the recommendation. Are you sure you need to size them?

I think I do need to size them as they did not slide into the case easily.

Even after sizing they do not slide into te case easily. I will wait for the lube to dry and than try and seat a handful.
