The extractor on my Ballester Molina .45 snapped off, I'm having a hard time finding a new one. I've checked the usual places like Numrich and Sarco, but they don't have them anymore. Also checked ebay and gunbroker with no luck (other than a parts gun for sale for almost what I paid for my whole gun). I also checked google and turned up nothing. A standard 1911 extractor won't fit either, it's the wrong length.
Anyone else here have one of these pistols and know a parts source that has an extractor in stock?
Is the 1911 extractor to long or to short? The 38 super extractor is shorter than the 45 acp.

I'm not sure. Too short I think. I have a friend who has a few 1911's in various calibers so ill have to convince him to let me check them.

Did you try Marstar in Canada? They often have a variety of parts.

When it came to a sear bar for mine I just had to be patient AMD Numrich did have one, took a few months. I did find out that the sear bar form a Star model B would fit and was in stock. The 1911 extractor is too short by quite a bit. Might be able to find someone with a star or something that they cam measure for you.

Check www.thedealershowroom.com. They have extractors for the Ballester Molina for $26.00. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I called them (the dealers showroom) and even though it shows them they don't have any.

Sarcoinc.com looks like they have them. Worth a call anyway.

I guess these are all dried up, they all show extractors as "out of stock" and the parts guy on the 1911 forums was banned. I'll probably make a trip to Sarco since they're only an hour away and see if they have anything that's not on the website inventory. I've been meaning to stop in their store anyway.
