Has any one used this bullet in 357 max? Just bought a double cavity mold and thinking about using it in my maxs.

Not in the Max, but it's super accurate in .38's and .357's, so I don't see why it shoud do any worse in the Max. Even in the .38 it's a great long range bullet. The meplat is way too small to use for hunting in my opinion though.

I tryed it in both of my Max TC barrels
1 barrel loves it , the other shoots it SO so

I found 4227 worked best for me
19.5 gr of H4227 , Rem 7 1/2 primer produced 1600 fps and 2 - 3" groups at 100 yds

I would cast it with a soft lead nose and shoot deer

Never had a deer go more than 10' after being hit

Hmmm. I never thought of soft-nosing them. I guess thats why it's best to get more than one opinion!

Had good luck with it in TC and DW also with 4227 and Rem 7 1/2. Excellent silhouette bullet. I'm now using in FA 357.

I love the things in my S&W 686. And they cast perfect the first time out. The only thing, being a 180gr, I can't do BIG BUBBA loads as they don't allow for enough H110 or 296 to get that big BOOM and fireball.

For accuracy shooting, they are great. I leave my fun loads for 125gr Hornady JHP's.
