Its never happened to me, not even a little
Im not trying to troll here, but why is there so much fuss about this issue?
did I just get a good gun? lucky maybe?
are my loads weak, because I shot some hot ones tonight and I'm not sure how much more recoil I would really want

Define "hot ones".

The SRH has a reputation for this problem, and I've experienced it with some of my "hot ones".

Some owners claim that polishing the chambers cures it, my chambers are already like a mirror.

Ruger used a proprietary stainless steel to build these guns, and some say the elasticity of the metal allows it to expand on firing and then retract, causing the sticking. You can read about the amazing strength of the gun here:

360gr w/ 20grs AA#9
360gr w/18grs Bluedot
255grs w/ 37grs of W296 (those definitely let you know they went off!)
255gr w/ 25grs Bluedot
255gr w/ 30gr 2400

I use starline 454 brass, the gun has never had .45 brass in it

as for the chambers, I keep them clean, I did use some Flitz on a bore mop and spun it gently with a drill when the gun was new, but like you said they were already like a mirror.

watch that blue dot. It gets wild very quickly at about 18.5 for a 350 gr pill.
I agree it's elasticity of the chamber metal.

I don't think it's linear, as a guess - double the pressure = 3 time the stretch.
After 65K psi it really stretches and that causes the stickies.

My alaskan would need the cases pounded out with the same loads that fell out of my FA gun.

It would never happen if Ruger would have made a 5 shot cylinder that everyone wanted.
A 6 shot just flexes more.

Yep, lot's more metal in a 5 hole cylinder as opposed to a 6 hole. Simple as that.

I had a SRH in a 454 my load was 32 grains H110 behind a 308 gr GC cast boolit. There was one guy who used a load of 35 gr of H110 behind a 310 gr Cast GC boolit, I tested with loads over the 32 grs but found boolits jumped crimp to often with heavier loads. The 32 gr load also grouped less than 5/8 inch with 6 shots at 25 yards and could consistently bust clays at 200 yards. Never had any cases stick. I also used Starline Brass.
I now have a SRH 44 mag and my friend has one as well. Mine never sticks cases but his will stick with loads way under what I shoot. It happens always on the same 2 chambers and if you push a fired brass into those chambers they have a point about .250" from the throat they start to stick going in, it is definitely bad machining in the chambers on his SRH.

Groo here
The 454 is a special case gun, FA454's have tighter chambers [ mine will not chamber a 45colt factory round] where as the ruger was designed to shoot both.
I believe the cases are expanding more in the ruger and you get sticking.
Find a set of older 45 colt dies and size with them ,or neck size only and see if you stick.

I thought blue dot had a tendency to calm down a bit after it starts to get compressed.
Lloyd, weren't you the one that reported these finding?

I've never had the problem in 2 different SRH 454 revolvers. I shoot factory Win and Hornady as well as handloads. Nary a sticky case yet. My handloads aren't as hot as factory loads. But hey, a 335 grain WLNGC at over 1400 fps is more power than I need anyway... and I never had bullets jump crimp on me either.
