Sweet! Set trigger, globe front and aperture rear sights and what looks to be a nicely matching fore end and butt stock that have been expertly inletted and fitted. We look forward to the first range report.

I believe the gentlemans name was Pete at C Sharps that took my order, He said that sight set should get me out to 1400 yds with 550 grn bullets. This depends on the loads to also.

Congratulations on the Hepburn. I have always been fascinated by those. Good to see they are being made once again.

Had it out today 30 rds cleaned 2 wet patches ( Balistol water) 1 dry ran twice. Load was 80 grns 2f Goex card wad 3/16" grease cookie card wad and Baco .442 swaged bullet wrapped with 9 # onion paper ( .002 thick). Shot good Have to adjust ladder sight foreward to my position. and adjust set trigger a little. But what a sweet shooting rifle Stock handles recoil very well rifle rides the sticks very nice and things just went great. Next weekend will have things adjusted and 50 rounds at 85 grns 2f goex. all else staying the same. Barrel is cleaning up nicely.

I remember the first Hepburn I ever saw. It was love at first sight. This was in the early 1960s and there were no replicas to buy in those days. Remington made a hundred offhand rifles in the schutzen style using the Hepburn action except it had an underlever. I have seen one of them. While I did get to own single shot rifles of all the other action types, I have never owned a Hepburn. That is a beautiful rifle and it should bring you many years of enjoyment.

There was a guy at the Arrowhead Range in So.Cal. that had one of those. He asked if I wanted to try 'er out. I 'bout broke my leg trying to get into that bench rest. I took two shots at his 200 yd target and left two holes about an inch apart. I went home empty handed.:( I have not recovered. I know it says "Thou shalt not covet" but hey???????:killingpc
Congratulations on your acquisition.:drinks:
