.22 Mosin lookalike

Since I know a lot of you guys are into Mosin-Nagants, there is a Polish .22 training rifle that looks like a junior Mosin for sale over in the classifieds of the 24Hr. Campfire. The guy wants $325 for it. I never saw one like it. Very nice condition, too. Hurry, it won't last long I'm sure. (Not my rifle BTW- no dog in that race.)

Every Mosin collection needs to have one of those , thye are a net rifle . Mine didn't shoot near as well as many others reported for their rifle but I guess that the way it goes . I was able to get all my money back in the sale though .

WZ 48 Kbks? I shot one in school in mid 80's.With proper cleaning and ammo those are very accurate with Iron sights.

I shot those mostly with surplus 22LR with steel cases ( very dirty stuff) and we where still hitting biathlon fall down targets up to 75meters and 100 with 0 wind.

I wish I could get one but up here they go for 400$+ if they are even for sale (very rarely).

Jeez, I think I paid about $125 for mine back when they were being imported. Guess I'll hang on to it! Had no idea they had appreciated that much.

When these rifles were first imported many had badly worn or corroded chambers. Those with the worst chambers were rechambered to .22 Magnum by a dealer in Florida.
If you have one still in .22 LR and it has a good chamber you are ahead of the game.

I had one for years until I got bored with it. It shot very well with about any ammo I fed it. A good friend of mine is a dealer and has them in stock right now for a pretty fair price.

Charley-Canadian and US prices on many firearms can vary greatly,some thing up here are way better priced than in US (SKS,ammo recently).
