I am amazed. I have always heard and read that lead with antimony would get harder as it aged.
I thought that was a old wives tail.
Friday the 21st I melted a ingot of alloy that I knew had antimony in it,cast a test plug, (disk) let it air cool, then did a BHN on it. 13.4BHN Recorded it all then put in a container untill today.
Today, I Did another BHN test and I'll be danged, the disk was at 14.9
What is up with this stuff?
I normally use only lead and tin.
