See if there are any casters in costal NC, SC, GA or FL. It abounds in the terpentine industry down in those places./beagle

Google "pine tar." There are several sources.

Should be one of the best fluxes for reducing oxides.

I have pine trees all over the place here in NW wisconsin. I won't go near a pine tree in the spring that pitch is all over the place,but if it makes nice flux i could be convinced to dorn a Tyvek suite and gloves and scrape some of that stuff off trees. Ohhhh thats some nasty stuff to deal with and i hate pine scent.

Check out the sporting goods stores. They should have rosin. Same/same.
Pitch isn't necessary for fluxing. Any old stick will work just fine.
