How's the Rem 7600 as a cast bullit shooter?

I've seen them aroung for a while but never paid much attention. But I guess Rem has been making them in 35 Rem and 35 Whelen. The 35 rem sounds interesting. I'm not much for bolt guns but this might be just as much fun as mt win 22 pump. But with a bit more pop.

Brian: was waiting for one of the guru's to post here,but,fwiw, I am long a 7600 in 35 W(perhaps you saw it at NCBS '05) fell into it a few months after finally getting impatient , and reboring/chambering a old Remmie 760 in"06 to 35 W..Both are up to my hunting standards with boolits from an old Lyman 358318 (Mine go 253 RTU)..Have some 760s,7600's and oldtimer 141's in the 35 rem. but to date, the Marlin 336A I rescued from Bakersfield is the only 35 rem. I'm shooting cast in..That will change sooner,I'm hoping...The slide Action rifles are not all that uncommon here,given that a lot of our elk are taken in the Pole timber thickets..Onceabull

The 35 whelen has always interested me but I haven't come across one yet. The 7600 may be a way out. Unless I make one from a Win95 or Ruger #1.

How the recoil on the 7600 in 35W?
