After i get done seating the bullet, and crimping the projectile still has a wiggle to it when i wiggle it with my fingers... any suggestions? are they safe to shoot or should i pull them and start fresh? i tried pulling it out of the case with my fingers but it didnt budge.

What caliber and what is the diameter of both your projectile and your expander?

What brand of dies are you using?

Are you full length resizing, partial sizing, or are you using a neck sizer?

There should be no wiggle to a loaded round of ammo.

As Mk2 says the bullet should not move once seated. The size/decap die should return the neck/mouth of the case to a few thousandths of an inch smaller than bullet diameter

I would pull em. All sorts of bad things could happen. What caliber, type of sizing die, and bullet diameter are you using?

9mm sizing die is Normandy I believe ( I'm at work) and bullet is .356 berry plated

On you sizing and decap die adjust it down to almost touch you shell holder with brass in it. Sounds like your belling die (expander) is set to low and expanding your brass to large,

I'm not real familiar with Hornady dies, but try it without crimping. Over crimping plated bullets can cause the thin jacket to separate, could also be pushing down on the case mouth and deforming the case.

I'm with 300 win....If you are full length resizing on good dies, the only thing that can cause this loose fit is the expander/belling shaft is set down too far, by quite a margin.

Sounds to me like roll crimping, over done?

Why would you roll crimp a 9mm? I don't load it but isn't it taper crimped like the 45ACP?

I agree with several stated above, it's either a case mouth widening issue or possibly over crimping with a roll-crimp. I have used Berry's Bullets for a long time on 9mm, 40 S&W and 45 ACP and never had any issues. I would also suggest getting a Lee Factory Crimp die. It will save you a lot of headaches. The only cartridge I ever put a stout crimp on are revolver cartridges. Otherwise a very light crimp is all that is necessary.

For the 9mm, the case should be crimped enough to just hold the bullet securely. It should look like there is no crimp at all. You need to adjust your crimp accordingly. Just my two cents - I use the Dillon dies.
