I am going to order some more. Are you planning on further production, or has this been enough of a "good thing" for you?

If they keep moving decent,I'll order more when
the 10,000 is close to being gone. But its a
BIG IF; I'd like them to be gone by end of
July and the next 10,000 by middle of October.
That way enough will get out there to be
a good tested product. And enough use to get the word
out, to get 50,000 used next year...Ed

I'm currently working on a hollow-base, nose heavy wad-slug design for smooth bore 20ga. guns that is 0.576" diameter to fit inside of a 20ga. shot wad which may also fit nicely inside hubel's 58-cal sabots for the 12ga. to make smooth bore sabot loads. I’ll try it once I have the mold in-hand (I have a few of his sabots) and let you guys know and post the specs. for the mold if such a load works out for that application.

And if you don't have them get their X 12 X plastic seals.
On the white felt cushions best to get the 1/8 and the 1/4 inch,
to make it easiest to get wad column right.Ed

Here is pic of the 1/8" and 1/4" white felt wads as they are used
in various combos under sabots.. We have moved 6000 sabots.

For the 30 or so others who monkeyed with the junk sabots over
the years around the net,and found them inaccurate and wanting,
please see if you all will get on board help test these out.
Most of you have right guns and experience.
IE, we need those who used the good ones made back east,
on a small scale, costing 75 cents each, to see if ours are
comparable or close to them.We really need a comparison.
And by guys who are better shooters than I. Ed

The way your sabots look after exiting the barrel, staying intact and flaring out with a base of the sabot that was in good condition looks to be a good sabot Ed.

WE do have one guy with some problems using a super tight barrel
Abolt with a diameter about .003" smaller than my Sav and Nef.
It is twisting sabot petals and bad accuracy about 6-8" at 50yds.
He is using 440 gr Dixie Gunworks slug with deep grooves.
And with Steel powder from 46 to 51 gr not super strong loads.I am sending
him regular shallow groove Minie slug to try, like the Lee mold mentioned
above. And if needed maybe to try slower 4759 powder.
Here is pic of sabots with twisted petals after fired in Abolt.

Here is pic of a sabot like ours opening, straight petals like
mine here fired from standard size barreled Nef and Savage,

I've seen warnings about some barrels not to use accutip
style as they are oversize for good fit in standard barrels. And the
undersize barrels usually are all ones made in EU. I wonder if that
is why earlier sabot offerings, usually made in EU are undersize
for most slug barrel guns here.?????Ed

I inspected some fired sabots he sent me that were fired in Abolt.
The land marks on the sabots from ABOLT barrel are over twice
as wide as the land marks on sabots fired here in NEF/SAV. barrels.
And the Abolts land marks are not impressed unto the sabots like the
land marks from NEF/SAV. So with tight barrel, wide lands the petals
are binding and twisting with slugs he used, I sent other slugs
we will see how they do.If won't work I have slug here I can make
little smaller, Don't if that will solve it. I don't if I have enough green
power to get 2 sizes of 12ga sabots going.Ed

The guy having trouble sent me the targets and fired sabots from his Abolt.
Pictures later. I had sent him some Lyman new style slugs.
By changing slug from Dixie 440 gr with Steel powder to 500 gr Lyman
new style with bigger amount of 4759 powder, he dropped
the group size at 50 yds from about 10 inches down to 2 inches.
And the fired sabots with the Lyman were open perfectly, no
twisted petals.
The difference is amazing..I was getting ready to tell him to put a
Savage barrel in the Abolt...He can up the load 4759 no problem.
It might get tighter yet.Ed

Great job Ed Your sabots are the only ones on the market that I can find, that is "custom made" for the 12ga. Why the commercial ammo manufacture's don't make their sabots to the same demensions is mystifying. Aren't the sabots in the shells they make totally different from those reloaders can buy in bulk? They seem to want to keep the reloading group out of the shooting game altogether. It's the dollar that is driving them instead of customer satisfaction. Congrats on the development and bringing to market the best sabot out there.
