LOL I have a mosquito magnet, but it is not a good carry piece. lol I think Dennis's advice is probably the best, but they will over run me with my double barrel. I maybe need to get me a street sweeper with the drum. lol

Not sure how good that will work for skeeters but, I want one! Mini guns in all flavors are cool!

I remember having to use windshield wipers because of mosquitos on Adak. Therefore, I think the only intelligent choice is a flamethrower.

+1 on the flamethrower! That way you can clear brush and get rid of mosquitoes at the same time! And the SOB's deserve to burn!

Anybody that has spent time up in da UP knows just about how true this song is!

Up on the HI-line around Havre the skeeters are how kids learn how to ride, just saddle one up and turn em loose!

Use a thermacell they work great. I use them in the swamps of fl and I'm never bothered by the little bitters.

If you surround yourself with youngsters in shorts and tee shirts and you dress normally , you will be relatively safe. There is lots of moaning and complaining later though.

You can bring along as many guns and as much ammo as you can con them into carrying.

Central Fla. is getting monster mosquitoes. 20X bigger! I'd go with the 105mm, you'll have it when they get there.

A hat with a net, long pants and shirt. Now apply DEET at least 40%....Now start out at the range with Black Powder and give em a little smoke. When Mosquitoes come out, I have a cigar burning up wind also. Keeps the deer flies, horse flies and black flies away kinda.

Load up a 240B full rock n roll. Wouldn't that be fun!

Douse yourself in whiskey then roll in sand. They get drunk and throw stones at each other.

Guns?!? You guys are missing it!

A short spear! Mosquitoes are excellent practice. When you get where you can bifurcate a flying skeeter with a spear, you've arrived.

Aficionados of edged weapons might try a saber or a broadsword.

If you MUST have a gun, then dispense with the ammo and mount a bayonet. Short thrust and parry with a bayoneted Grand will do most of you pudgy old guys some good.

i used to work on electric transmission towers with an old guy who chewed 2 bags of Red Man a day, he swore that if you swallowed all the juice from the first chaw of the day it would keep the black flies and deer flies away. I used 100% deet.

I laughed at this until I learned about the existence of gallinippers today. Yikes, 20 times bigger than the average mosquito!

Saw some netting outdoor wear last weekend but I don't expect it will work. I was in Corpus after Carla, they would follow you as a cloud. I heard the ones in Co didn't live long so were super aggressive. Personally I use Deet or stay inside. Now the real problem is West Nile.

If you are staying in one general area, Dr. T's Mosquito Granules. Look like cat litter, impregnated with plant oils, including garlic oil and lemongrass oil. Repels for about two to three weeks, not expensive, and makes your yard smell like an Italian Kitchen for a few hours, due to the garlic.

I had to laugh today. I stopped at a flag woman for a construction job about a hundred miles north of town. I could see her waving something for a quarter of a mile before I got there, and it was one of those electric fly swatters. lol I bs'ed with her for a good twenty minutes and she never quit waving it and it never stopped buzzing. She also had an electric thermacell or some such thing that was suppose to keep them at bay. lol The poor girl was being over run by mosquitos. lol
