The core rings, I believe it's steel round bar with a flat machined out of one side. Looks like a roller. I've got a half-dozen of these. I just wondered what they came from.

I used to have a boat trailer that had several of those BUT - they were all made of rubber?

The oxides on it look more like Zinc than Lead. I'd be careful and use the usual precautions for Zinc.
