My magma, will be here maybe in 30 days. Been using lee and sizing before lube with alox. I hate alox. Causes cancer if ya live in LA.

I use to lube-size-lube, No need IMO. Just size-lube. Yea, die is clean inside, brush it out once a while.

yea, lot of money, but will pay for itself i 4 or 5 months. I gotta couple friends i cast for when they bring lead over. I shoot alot.

Nother ?, I am getting involved with coating boolits. I have thought of not buying the heater and lube tube. Yes or No? Or maybe later if ya need.

What lube do you plan on using? Hard lubes will require some heat, some of the soft lubes not so much. The air cylinder is a convenience item. I too have a Star on the way soon, ordered the heater, skipped the cylinder until later. My order date was Feb. 20, but also have a Master Caster, several molds, and several options with the sizer.

I have a Star with the heater and the air setup. Got tired of turning that crank when trying to get stuff set up right. I would highly recommend getting the heater and the air pressure cylinder. They both make the journey so pleasant.. Mike

Get a 1\2" peice of aluminum what ever size you need and make your own heater, My friend owns a shop where there are some left overs once in a great while, I got a peice ordered a heating element from ebay 6 dollars shipped. Hook it to a light dimmer switch and you have a heated base, Mine cost roughly $20.00 to make. The air cylinder is an excellent add on, I saw where guys here made there own, Some used air cylinders from Grainger supply and put them together. Good luck with the star.
