Had a good day yesterday shooting the 308 win Savage I put together earlier this year. I wanted to try a couple of boolits that I had laying around. One was the RCBS 200gr SIL. And the other is the LEE 200gr boolit. Both are gas checked with Hornady checks and lubed with TAC1 lube. The RCBS was also tumble lubed in ALOX. No sorting was done other than by looks. Both have been aged about 3 months.
I have a bunch of 2400 so I went with what I have the most of. Charges were the same for both boolits.
Here is the overall target.

Here is the RCBS SIL that shows some promise.

And here is the same load with the LEE 200 gr. I will explain the flier in a bit.

Ok, about the flier. I have to shoot this gun by the ''free recoil'' method. I wasn't paying attention and wrapped my hand around the stock on the pistol grip. I did it with a couple others here also. Anyway, this is the gun, but now it has a 26" 1-10tw SS Select Match Shilen on it. So far it has about 400 rnds of cast threw it and about 25 rds of jacketed. I used the jacketed ones to do a initial break in. Has only had cast since. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/tommeboy/101_0010.jpg (http://smg.photobucket.com/user/tommeboy/media/101_0010.jpg.html)
Anyone else have a picky gun like this as to the contact with the stock?
