Loaded some 300 speer HP's using imr-3031 book calls for 50grain min load it sure fill the case up. Compressed load for sure

Whitch book did you use I've never tried that and I have a pound of it.

I like 3031 in lots of different cases!
Hodgdon online manual starts at 58gr an maxes at 64 with 64 being compressed.

I forget the exact load but it was a full case of 3031 with a 405grn boolit. In my BC it sure woke me up. Kinda like hitting a steel column with an iron bar. put that load in the done that list and wont be going back there again.

Wow, that seems stiff. My .45-70 load with a 420 gr boolit is 40 gr 3031. It works and all my teeth stay in place.

Well I look forward to trying 3031 I have a couple of the Speer Reloading Manuals and I will check on line again. I appreciate the heads up.
