Just ordered a lee 7/8 oz. drive key type slug mold and am kinda stumped about exactly what loads to use for it. Universal and hs-6 are obviously the best powders to use but in this time when components are scarce, I need to use some of what I already have. Would like some comments and experience using red dot, wsf, and unique.
Here's what I'm thinkn
Win AA hull
CCI 209
WAA12 pink wad
19.5 grains red dot or 28.5 grains wsf
Fiber base wad
One thing I am worried about is such a light payload with the wsf.
Comments or concerns welcome

I cast and reload the 7/8 slug in a BPI wad designed for the slug over 28 grains of Hodgdon Clays powder. The hull doesn't matter. I have reloaded with them all from Win. AA to cheap Gun Club. High brass / Low brass. Doesn't matter. The fiber wad is not required. The 7/8" slug is really light and I do not hunt with them. If you're going to hunt with them get the 1 oz. or use the Lyman sabot slug. The 7/8oz is just a paper puncher.
