I have a lot AA#7, and would like to burn it up. In the past when I needed a mild .44 Magnum load, loaded 7.5gr of 231, with excellent results. Has anyone here tried AA#7 with the Kieth 429421?

LOL! Based on the title only, I was going to recommend 8 gr of W231.. . . . . OK, too late.

No AA#7, so can't help.

Accurate lists loads on their web site for No.7 in the 44 mag. But they seem pretty hot to me. You wanted mild. The lightest they list for a 240 grain boolit is 14.7 grains for nearly 1200 FPS. You might try 11.0 grains just for grins. I've not tried that load--AA powder availability is sketchy at the best of times in So. Cal and right now is running a close second to wooly mammoths for unavailability.

With the State of Commifornia about to pass a substantial tax on ammo and a permit requirement to buy it let alone outlaw getting it online I'd lay in as much powder and boolits as possible or plan a once a year pilgrimage to AZ but they are probably going to put gates on all the borders and search every vehicle entering anyways. Every border but the one directly to the south that is.

I have loaded the accurate loading of AA#7 under the 240 kieth bullet. It was pretty strong to me but it was very consistant and did not lead the model 29 or super redhawk. If I still had a .44 I would probably load that down another 2-3 percent.

I have not used #7 but I have loaded a boatload of No. 2 and No. 9.

I really like those powders. You will be happy with No. 7.
