Greetings,
I have a small ring '98 mauser that I rebarrelled with a 7.62x39 new barrel kit. However, all the instructions for the conversion have long since disappeared. I have a nylon block leftover that is supposed to shorten the magazine well for feeding. but I don't understand how it goes, nor how to shorten the magazine/follower to make it feed.

Does anybody got experience with this that they can share?

I got a plastic piece also, but how do you fit it to make it feed?

Have a pic of parts ?
I made my own block for the rear and ground a bit off original follower, clipped a bit from spring legs top and bottem so follower would move forward and now feeds like a champ ! I also welded a little on extractor claw , reshaped it and it extracts ever time !.
This was a Turk '93 .

Did you trim off the rear of the follower? or trim off the front?

For a time they were advertising Chinese made copies of the G33/40 mountain troop carbine in 7.62X39. I guess these were banned along with the other Norinco products.

Block goes to the rear, and you should have gotten a new/modified follower with your kit.

Or you could go a step further and modify to take WASR single stack mags.
