This is why i am growing my own food. And have a lot of food stored up. Any break in the chain will cause shortages.

They need places to invest all the money we insist on sending over there. Smithfield is a solid company with a solid product, doubt that will change. OTOH I was looking for some canned clams to add a bit of meat to the clam sauce I sometimes pour over linguine. First can, old American brand name, product of Indonesia. Still sitting on the shelf, as far as I know.

It's getting harder and harder to shop for products that are owned and made in the U.S. That's one of the reasons I will not buy meat from WallyWorld. I am fortunate enough to have a store locally that buys all it's meat products from meat processors within the state, and believe it or not, their prices are better than Wally Worlds. Plus, their beef looks like beef is supposed to look.
