I found a local shop today with 3031 and LeveRevolution in stock. I purchased the 165 gr RF (RD) awhile back but haven't found powder until now. Which would you get? The price is 36.50 which seems a little high, but it is available.

I'd get them both

see which one works best for your gun

That's up to you but if powder gets harder to find in a few months, well. 3031 and LVR are good 30-30 powders. Basically, it depends on your preference of shooting and your GUN. Then it depends on your boolit/alloy to which powders should be tried.

You'll need to load the LVR full house to get it working right. So if you want less recoil and less velocity then the 3031 in a reduced load.

I'd get both. I have the PB RD mold, works good with light or full loads. Never used 3031 but lit is supposed to be good.

I'd go with 3031, I couldn't get LVR to work under that boolit. Think it prefers a heavier boolit.

Well I bought the LeveRevolution and some of the new bullets that go with it. I found some promising load data for Varget that I already have so I'll give that a try for my cast.

Suggest a "search" for my thread using LvR powder. I also found it doesn't work well with most cast bullets less than 170 gr.

If that doesn't work out maybe they'll have some Reloder #7. Seems to be my go-to powder under CB's in the medium velocity, medium bore rifles. Working well for me in 32WS, 35Rem and 45-70, even have an old note where I loaded it in .375Win under j-words. When I get another 30-30 I'll be trying Rx7 and 3031 but I haven't seen any 3031 in awhile.
