A friend gave me a new Tikka T3 Lite .308 rifle for my birthday!!...A bit belated...and he didn't even come to my party...but what the hey..I forgive him now.:-D

Anyhow...I don't know much about Tikka and didn't realize they are now part of Sako which is part of the Beretta conglomerate. Online reviews of my particular model and Tikka in general do seem favorable.

I'll ask the question....Just how good are Tikka rifles and what sort of experiences have you had with Tikka brand rifles??

I have an old M55 Tikka in .222, so that probably doesn't help a lot, but it's a great rifle; extemely accurate.

I have 3 friends who each have a Tikka T3 Lite in .223, and each one loves the rifle. They shoot very, very well. 1 MOA out of the box with factory ammo is normal.

The only thing I don't like is the plastic shroud cover on the back of the bolt. It makes it difficult to re-cock the bolt if you un-cock it.

Pretty cool!!...I'm anxious to get some mounts and a scope fitted-up! My chart indicating a pair of Weaver #61 mounts should fit the receiver(hope the screws are right!)

The rifle sort of reminds me of a 788 Rem .243 I used to have...only much lighter and better fitting stock

The screws will fit. You'll like the rifle, my shooting buddy has a 308 Tikka also.

Fine rifles.

these rifles are tack drivers if you don't mind the plastic parts... the Tikka barrel is top notch for a production barrel in this price range...
