Has anyone used the biggggg LEE 230 gr in a 308 win above the speed of sound?

I would think that your barrel twist may or may not stabilize them. Those are some long boolits, that's why the 8 and 7 twist in BLK barrels. Supersonic would stabilize in a slower twist though. Somewhere online there is a stability calculator where you can plug in the particulars for your set up and it'll let you know what twist is stable at the velocity. Can't remember where I saw it though.

You might try this page and formula. It is aimed at the BPCR but should work for modern loads as well. http://www.tmtpages.com/twistrate.htm
Good luck.

I haven't shot that boolit but I've shot the 245gr from Accurate Molds at 1,950 in my 30-06 with 1-10". Shoots very well.

I have shot this boolit in my Savage 30-06 from the late 60s' with no problems at supersonic speed. Not the most accurate but 2" groups at 100 yards are doable.
