I picked up this Saeco #371 3 cav mold on the S&S on a hunch and was partially right. It drops at 104gr with COWW but I think most of the weight difference between it and a 120gr BBTC is in the shortened cone. I have to seat it pretty deep to get it to feed by hand in my PPKS(see pic of dummy round), about .920" COL. It shaves the nose at longer lengths. Since I can find no info on this mold and no data for a similar style, how should I decide on a load. It appears to seat about as deep as a 121gr Lyman 358242. It looks nice loaded but you can see how deep it goes in compared to other ~100gr designs, half the case capacity. I have tried a 110gr Ideal 36072 that seats slightly shallower but with dismal accuracy using published Lyman #358242 data(seats as deep but shorter nose); so similar load densities?

Might give 2.5 grains of Bullseye a try.

I have loaded some that are about that deep when seated.

Thanks for that, it is about where I ended up with the 36072. I think I will start where I began with those and probably end up around the same load. I was hoping more might chime in on using up half the case capacity with a light boolit.
