My short review of the M39 with NOE 312299 Boolit.
Thanks to Ben we already know the A3 likes this Boolit :drinks:
Boolits dropped .3125 at the bands with a nose of .301
The nose is perfect, I can not push it into the muzzle, seems to fit as tight as the A3's muzzle.
Was going to size them .312 for the M39, however I do not have a .312 Sizer (Yet).
So being the impatient cause that I am I loaded up some sized at .311, same as for the A3.
The nose is perfect, I can not push it into the muzzle, seems to fit as tight as the A3's muzzle.
I only fired 20 rounds and got pretty much zero leading, cleaned up with just a couple wet patches.

I am really new to metalics reloading so I have some questions. Looks like you have some impressive results. Your mold drops the boolits .3125 and you sized them to .311 when the gas checks were swagged on? What mold and results did you use with the Lee and what were the results? I recently bought a MN 93/30 from AIM that is in good shape and have a 38? and a 39 but the bores on the 38 and 39 are not pretty. Why not use a mold that drops .311? Pardon my ignorance here. how fast can these cast be pushed?

My Lee 312-185 molds drop the bullets small at .3105 - .311 so they don't all get to be sized proper at .311
Bullets sized down easy but don't size up well. I wanted a mold to drop at .312 so I could sized them down to .311 or .310 or
.309 if wanted for different rifles. The bore on my 39 is great so the .311 works but .312 might even work better.
Your 38 and 91/30 will most likely need a bullet .312 - .314 and if your 39 is worn it may aslo need a bigger bullet, so I would for go the LEE mold and get an NOE.
Slug your bores to be sure
I have only pushed mine to about 1800fps, but they can be pushed faster
